Question 1:

How long is the free trial for?

Answer:

The free trial is not a fixed length of time. The trial allows you to add, edit and review your advert 24 hours a day. Your advert will not go live until you subscribe for either 12 or 24 months.

Question 2:

How much does it cost to advertise?

Answer:

We currently have two great rates. You can choose to subscribe for 12 or 24 months for £29.99 or £49.99 respectively.

Question 3:

Why are your rates so low?

Answer:

The rates are low, but more importantly they are fair. We are property owners ourselves and are quite often shocked when we receive marketing emails asking us to pay up to £225 for a fully featured advert. We have tried to keep the rates as low and as affordable as possible. Like yourselves we want to minimise the initial cost especially when you can't guarantee the results.

Many websites charge similar amounts of money (£29.99) for a basic advert which contains a few paragraphs of text and the owners contact details.  We don't believe that this is value for money. The package we offer is aimed at home owners who do not want to risk large sums of money whilst trying to secure additional bookings.

Question 4:

Are you rates introductory rates?

Answer:

No. Our rates are our general rates and we are not looking to increase them. Whilst we have no intention of raising rates the website must be self sufficient and pay for its running. If it was necessary to increase the charge we would give plenty of warning to existing advertisers. Whilst you are currently in a subscription you would be exempt from any increase until your renewal date.

Question 5:

Why can't I log in  - I have set up a Villa People Account but it won't let me log in?

Answer:

There are 2 main reason why this can happen:

1) It may be that you are cutting and copying your log in details from an email. If this is the case, sometimes a space it copied at the end of the password. Please try logging in by typing your details. Please be careful when entering your password as it is case sensitive.

2) It could be that your internet browser is not accepting cookies from The Villa People website. Depending on which browser you are using you need to take different actions. If you are using Internet Explorer 6 or 7 you need to go into the  'Tools', 'Internet Options' area. Once there, select the 'Privacy' tab and click on the 'Sites' button. You will need to add and press the 'Allow' button. Keep clicking okay until you have exited the internet options menu. Then try and log in again.

Both these causes are fairly common. If you need any further help please please contact us .

Question 6:

Can I pay in $US dollars?

Answer:

Our website is currently setup to take money in £UK but you can still pay using a $US credit / debit card. The rate would be based on the exchange rate charged by your bank. The approximate rate for 12 months subscription would be $60 including tax. 24 months subscription would be approximately $100. These values are based on an exchange pate of £1 = $1.98 as at 27th June 2007. That’s just over $4 per month if you choose the 2 year option.
