Membership Guidlines

Members are only permitted to have one Villa People account. For members with more than one property it is necessary to have them all under the same membership account.

Membership is only available to legitimate owners of holiday properties. We regret that we are unable to accept applications from property management companies or tour operators. 

The free trial membership offer applies only to a members first property. Any subsequent properties added to the members portfolio either during or after the trial period will be charged at the full additional property rate. No introductory offers apply to additional properties.

Content of Adverts

The Villa People accepts adverts in good faith and expects all advertisers to provide accurate information regarding their property. Photographs, written descriptions or any other materials used to portray your property must be that of your own property and in no way be misleading to renters or visitors to the website.

The Villa People reserves the right to make alterations to adverts where it is considered necessary. This will be at The Villa People's sole discretion and The Villa People will not be liable for any losses arising from such alterations.

Copyright

It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure thay have the right to repoduce any photographs or materials used in the preparation and execution of their property advertisment. The advertiser agrees to indemnify The Villa People against all claims or costs arising out of any breach of copyright where the necessary permission has not been requested or granted.

Links to external websites

The Villa People do not permit owners to insert links to any external website, including their own personal websites, anywhere within their advertisement. Any owners found in breach of this rule may have their advert removed from The Villa People website. 

Email Enquiries

The owner accepts that they may receive a large number of emails from The Villa People which originate from legitimate renter enquiries. The Villa People do not endorse or in any way promote unsolicited emails (SPAM).

Late Deals

Owners who submit late deals for their property accept that offers are screened by The Villa People before being made live. As The Villa People can not govern how many late deal requests are made it is not possible to give a specific time scale in which they will be approved. We will, however, try to approve and publish them within 24 hours.

Refusal of services

The Villa People reserves the absolute and unconditional right to refuse to accept any advertisment submitted. If the advert has been paid for a refund will be issued for the full amount where the advert has never been live on the website. Any photographs or materials sent to The Villa People will be returned to the owner.

Billing Cycle

Adverts can be set up in two ways.

1) Monthly Billing Cycle - Payments by Credit / Debit Cards only.
2) Annual Billing Cycle - Payments by £UK Cheque, Credit / Debit Card or Wire Transfer

If a monthly billing cycle is selected the advertiser can follow the on-line payment set up procedure. Payments will be taken from your Credit / Debit card on a monthly basis to coincide with the date you activate your property. If you activate your property on of after 29th day of the month, your payments will be taken on the 1st day of the following month, and on the 1st day of each month there after.

If you prefer to pay annually please contact us to make the necessary arrangements.

Cancellation of Advert(s)

Within the 30 day free trial period advertisers may cancel their advert at any time. Any materials or photographs in the possession of The Villa People with be returned to the property owner.

Where an advert has been set up on a monthly billing cycle no refund will be made for the last payment received. Subsequent payments will not be taken and the advert will be disabled. This will terminate the payment schedule agreement.

Annual billing cycles refunds will only be given for full months. Where a month has been started no refund for that month will be made.

Monies taken on Credit or Debit Cards will be refunded to the same cards. Payments made by cheque or wire transfer will be paid by cheque.

Complaints Handling & Procedures

We hope you will never need to complain to us about any aspect of our service.  In the event that you do need to make a complaint, we do require you to communicate with us in writing by email, post or fax. This will enable us to deal with your complaint quickly and efficiently and for this reason verbal communications, which can not be documented, will not be accepted as a valid or formal complaint.

We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 48 hours. We will do our best to deal with your complaint in a timely manner and will keep you informed of our progress.

Termination or withdrawal of services

The Villa People reserves the absolute and unconditional right to teminate or withdraw any advertisment submitted without notice. If the advert is being paid for monthly by credit or debit card The Villa People will cancel the monthly commitment and refund the pro rated charges taken for the remainder of the current month. Where payments have been made by cheque the owner will be refunded for the advertising time remaining. Any photographs or materials sent to The Villa People will be returned to the owner.
